Dr. Gerald (Zheyao) Yin has served as AMEC's chairman and CEO since the company was founded in 2004. He brings more than 28 years of product development and executive management experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
Prior to AMEC, Dr. Yin spent 13 years at Applied Materials. While there, he held a variety of executive positions, including corporate vice president and general manager of the Etch product business group, vice president of Asia sourcing and procurement, and chief technology officer of Applied Materials Asia.
Dr. Yin joined Intel central technology development when he first arrived in Silicon Valley in 1984. In 1986, he moved to Lam Research, where he led the Etch technology development and introduction initiatives for several key products.
Dr. Yin received his Bachelor of Science in chemical physics from the University of Science and Technology, China. He pursued his graduate studies at Beijing University, Department of Chemistry. He received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to his U.S. experience, he served the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a research group leader.

As VP and Greater China GM, Michael drives AMEC's sales, service and applications support in the region.
Michael has worked in the semiconductor industry in Asia for almost 20 years. Prior to AMEC, he served as a senior manager at Applied Materials in Taiwan. While there, he held several positions, including technology development, customer support and marketing. Before Applied Materials, he worked at Winbond and WSMC, manufacturers of semiconductors in Taiwan, where he was responsible for process development and yield improvement.
Michael received a bachelor's degree in Engineering Science from Chung-Kung University of Taiwan.

Mr. Andrew Chen is Group Vice President and CFO of Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc. China. Before joining AMEC in 2012, Mr. Chen had served as Vice President and CFO with Nepstar Drug Store listed at NYSE and CSIQ Solar listed at NASDAQ. He also worked with multi-national corporations like Honeywell International and PWC. Over the years, Mr. Chen has accumulated solid experience in financial management, audit, risk management and corporate governance of listed companies. Mr. Chen graduated from Xiamen University in 1991 and earned his master’s degree from University of Alabama of the United States. He is a CPA.

Fisher Liu is Vice President and Secretary of the Board in AMEC. Prior to AMEC, he worked as Strategic Marketing Analyst in SMIC from 2001 to 2005. Since 2005, he has taken the position of Marketing Manager, Marketing Senior Manager, Marketing Director, Corp. Affairs Senior Director and Executive Director of Board Office. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Zhejiang University and he holds an MBA from a joint program by BI Norwegian Business School and School of Management Fudan University.

Mr. Ben Chen joined AMEC in 2008, he has served as General Manger and responsible for Sales/marketing, operation, and customer service in Taiwan and South China, where his strong business focus and customer relationship has resulted in wide customer penetration and a dominant market share. He brings more than 22 years of executive management experiences in the semiconductor equipment industry.
Prior to AMEC, Ben spent 11 years at Applied Materials. He was Account Manager and Product Manager to serve as various leadership roles in business operation, technology development and new product positioning across multiple geographies, covering the areas of Etch, clean, and metal deposition…etc.
Ben received his B.S degree in Chemical Engineering from NCKU(National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan). He earned his M.S degree in Chemical Engineering from NTU(National Taiwan University, Taiwan),

Dr. Du serves as Executive Vice President & COO of AMEC. Since the company's inception, he has charted the course for all operational tasks, including oversight of the company's manufacturing operations strategy and global materials operations infrastructure, as well as information technology systems and ERP project implementation.
Prior to AMEC, Dr. Du was general manager of Mettler-Toledo Instrument (Shanghai) Co. He was also general manager of Praxair-Baosteel Inc., a joint venture between Praxair and Baosteel. While there, he held a variety of engineering and management positions in multiple areas, including general management, business development, supply chain management, project/program management and technology licensing in multinational companies.
Dr. Du received his bachelor degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dr. Ni serves as senior VP . He manages and conducts the research projects for the development of Primo D-RIE system and Primo AD-RIE which can be used for the leading edge dielectric etch applications. His main focus is currently on process chamber technology, Plasma source and plasma physics and chemistry.
Prior to joining AMEC, he was a principal technologist in New Product Division of Lam Research Corp. He was the co-inventor of Lam 2300 series etch products.
Dr. Ni received his bachelor degree from University of Science and Technology of China. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Texas at Dallas.

As one of company founders and seasoned industry veteran, James leads the Common Engineering group that is responsible for software, electrical, and platform portion of AMEC products development and support.
Prior to joining AMEC in 2004, James was a software engineering director at Applied Material. Since joining Applied in 1995, James held various engineering management positions and was responsible for the software development and support of the most successful PVD products.
James Yang received both MSCS and BSEE degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University. He was teaching and researching in the Artificial Intelligence and Robots Institute of Xi'an Jiaotong University for seven years before working in US.

Dr. Mak has over 30 years' experience in semi and semi-equipment industry and is one of the founders of the company. Responsible for dielectric etch product general manage-ment including current product sustaining,support and enhancement, customer new applications development and gaining market share, new product develop-ment for 300mm 14-10nm technology node and for 450mm wafer size. Assigned as the project manager for 02 NSP 22-14nm.
Prior to AMEC, Dr. Mak spent 2 years at Intel Mask Operation, managing the department for mask etching, and 14 years at Applied Materials, where he held a variety of management posi-tions at the Metal Etch Division. He was one of the pioneers bringing solution to the corrosion problem for metal etch, and was instrumental in the development of the industry benchmark DPS metal etcher. He was the recipient of highest contribution to the company award.
Dr. Mak also served Intel from 1987to 1989 for EPROM production, responsible for managing the Metallization Group, where he was responsible for both Metallization and Metal Etch.
Dr. Mak received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the National Taiwan University in Tai-wan, China, and his Ph.D. in Engineering Materials from University of Maryland, College Park Maryland.

Steven Lee is a founder and served as a vice president of AMEC. He has more than 30 years of product development and management experience in the semiconductor equipment industry.
Prior to AMEC, he spent 5 years at SONY/MRC, 2 years at EMCORE, and 10 years at Applied Materials. While there, he involved in various product designs, including PVD, CVD, Etch and MOCVD.
Steven Lee received his Bachelor's Degree of Science in physics from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. He pursued his graduate studies with Master degrees at Wayne State University, Department of Physics and University of New York, Department Electrical Engineering .

Robert Chen is Vice President of Manufacturing at AMEC. In this role, Mr. Chen reports to AMEC COO, and oversees the production management related func-tions. In addition, Robert is also in charge of corporate-wild engineering change and control management, and technical communication such as product system manuals, web based product inform-center, and on-line video training program, etc.
Mr. Chen brings more than 30 years of experience in global operations, and more than 25 years in semiconductor industry to AMEC. From 2006 to 2010, he was Di-rector of Supplier Quality Management, where he was responsible for creating and implementing the foundation of supplier and manufacturing quality process, sys-tem and control for the corporation. Prior to join AMEC, between 2004 and 2006, Mr. Chen was Country Manager and appointed legal representative General Man-ager for Norelco Centreline (Suzhou) Inc. and UMS Technology (Suzhou) – both companies are subsidiaries of Singapore stock exchange listed company, UMS Group. UMS Group is a Contract Manufacturer, who specializes in semiconductor front-end and back-end equipment industry, and hard disk drive equipment in-dustry. From 1994 to 2004, Mr. Chen was employee of Applied Materials, where he held numerous positions included manufacturing engineering, supplier quality management, lean manufacturing, global manufacturing, supplier performance management, and outsourcing project management in Worldwide Manufacturing Operations division. Before 1994, Mr. Chen was running family business starting at a young age of 14 years old, while attending school.
Mr. Chen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and his Master of Manufacturing Management degree from The Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Liu joined AMEC in 2013. He brought in more than 20 years of experience in semiconductor industry. Before joining AMEC, he worked in Lam Research Cooperation for 18 years, and served leading roles in ICP etch product development and customer support.
Dr. Liu received his Bachelor Degree from Beijing Institute of Technology and Ph.D from Nagoya University,

Mr. Yu Cheng has more than 20 years of experience in semiconductor industry. He has worked overseas for many years at National Semiconductor Manufacturing and Lam Research Corporation. He returned to China and joined AMEC in 2015. Since then, he has been engaged in and responsible for China Region Etching Business.
Mr. Yu Cheng graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University in his early years.

Dr. Shiping Guo serves as VP at AMEC and responses for MOCVD equipment development and project management. He has more than 25 years’ experience in compound semiconductor process development, MOCVD equipment development, project management and operation.
Before AMEC, he was Director of GaN Operations & Technology at IQR RF LLC in USA from 2006 to 2012. From 2001 to 2006, he worked at EMCORE Corporation as a Scientist and then promoted to Senior Scientist for GaN-based MOCVD process development.
He received his master’s degree from the University of Science & Technology of China in 1991, and his Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics in 1994. Dr. Guo worked at Tohoku University as Research Staff from 1996 to 1998 and at City University of New York as Postdoc from 1998 to 2001.
